What to Expect
During a comprehensive eye exam, we will:
- Test your visual acuity at near and far distances
- Check for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Measure eye pressure to screen for glaucoma
- Examine the front and back of your eyes
- Dilate your pupils to evaluate the optic nerve and retina
Contact Lens Exams
If you wear or want to wear contact lenses, we offer specialized contact lens exams to determine the right prescription and lens type for your eyes.
How Often Should You Have an Eye Exam?
We recommend annual eye exams for most adults. Patients with diabetes, glaucoma, or other risk factors may need more frequent visits.
